This Pinot Gris Hospices de Strasbourg was carefully crafted in the cellar of the Strasbourg hospital, where it aged for 10 months in a new Aßmann oak cask.
The cellar of the Hospices de Strasbourg has a long history, and we recommend you visit it if you have the time. Historically, wine was always made there, but eventually that had to stop. In the 1990s a group of Alsace winemakers came together to preserve this beautiful cellar by ageing their own wines there. The 2024 cuvée is the first wine LICHTLÉ Wines has aged in this cellar.

Goes well with
Filet mignon with morels
Our Pinot Gris Hospices de Strasbourg was aged in a new Aßmann oak cask in the historic cellar of the Hospices de Strasbourg. This makes it a gastronomic wine that pairs well with many kinds of mushrooms. We recommend a filet mignon with morels.
Pumpkin and hazelnut soup
A more original pairing: the creaminess of the pumpkin soup melts the young tannins and softens the wine. A perfect combination.
Crème brûlée with a chestnut cream base
The smokiness of this cuvée, the flavours of the chestnut and the crème brûlée itself make a wonderful combination of aromas.
